Already, we have seen Transsion unveiling their Zero 5G flagship smartphone, its first-ever device to support the new 5G network technology that is slowly but steadily rolling out across the globe. Not to be left behind, Vivo is set to introduce its first 5G device in Kenya as well.
The Vivo V23 5G is set to officially be available in the Kenyan smartphone market over the next few weeks but, what does this first 5G device from Vivo to be available locally have to offer other than the 5G buzzword? Well, here’s the spec sheet.
Vivo V23 Specifications
The MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor is the star of the show here as it enables the device to support 5G, a buzzword in the industry today, a trend that is set to continue this year. In the camera department, the device comes with a triple array with a 64MP night camera, an 8MP super wide-angle camera, and a 2MP super macro camera. This is said to support Super Night Mode which should, at least in theory, deliver unmatched performance in the dark. Selfie lovers are sorted courtesy of a 50MP AF Portrait Selfie feature and 8MP super-wide-angle front camera which should be able to record at up to 4K resolution, something YouTubers and Vloggers will appreciate. In a statement sent out to press on the upcoming launch, Mr. James Irungu, Brand and Communications Manager had this to say.
Vivo V23 5G Pricing and Availability in Kenya
Vivo Kenya is hard at work, trying to get this in place for the launch of the Vivo V23 5G in Kenya on 21st February 2022. Should they maintain the same pricing they’re using for other markets, the device should retail at around KES 45,000 ($420). We shall continue to keep an eye on this and update with new development as and when we get it so stay tuned to Dignited.
